Pateros Catholic School Launches Pondo ng Pinoy Program Through Student-Led Initiative

The Supreme Student Council 10 (SSC 10) of Pateros Catholic School – Senior High School officially launched the Pondo ng Pinoy Program on August 3, 2026, at the PCS-SHS Gymnasium, highlighting the school’s commitment to compassion, service, and social responsibility.

The program opened with a welcome message from SSC President Marelle Ponce, followed by an engaging presentation facilitated by Juliana Abellera and Kyrie Libramonte. Through a short theatrical performance, SSC members introduced the mission of Pondo ng Pinoy and emphasized its four pillars, inspiring students to recognize how small acts of generosity can create meaningful change.
Students actively participated in interactive discussions that reinforced the values and lessons shared throughout the program, making the launch both educational and engaging.
Representing Pondo ng Pinoy, Patrick Del Rosario expressed his gratitude to the school community for its unwavering support of the foundation’s mission. Special guest Sister Rhodora “Beth” Luna also commended Pateros Catholic School for being one of the leading schools in extending assistance to charitable institutions and communities in need.

The event also featured a recognition ceremony honoring Sister Riverita Soriano, Patrick Del Rosario, and Alvin Altarejos in celebration of the 22nd Anniversary of Pondo ng Pinoy, recognizing their valuable contributions to the organization’s mission.
The program concluded with a lively dance performance by SSC 10 and a meaningful reminder of the Pondo ng Pinoy philosophy:“Anumang magaling, kahit maliit, basta’t malimit ay patungong langit.” The launch served as a powerful reminder that every small act of kindness, when offered with love and shared by many, can make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
