The Pondo ng Pinoy National Management Office (NMO) successfully conducted an orientation and simulation session at Cainta Catholic School, Rizal, on August 13–15. The activity was attended by the school administrator, religion subject teachers, students, Education Subcommittee Chairperson Rev. Fr. Antonio Gerardo Sanchez, and representatives from the NMO: Ms. AC Nuestro, Education Consultant and Executive Director; Ms. Morean Cosare, Project Officer; Ms. Pilar Santiago; and Mr. Bebot Sabangan, Communication Officer.
As part of its mission to deepen the faith and values formation of young people, Pondo ng Pinoy developed a series of age-appropriate and contextualized modules designed to integrate its spirituality into the Catholic school curriculum.
Cainta Catholic School served as one of the pilot institutions for the simulation sessions. These classroom-based activities helped refine the modules’ content and delivery while gathering valuable insights from both teachers and students.
During the simulation, Kindergarten to Grade 6 students participated in 30-minute sessions per grade level. Religion teachers, particularly lead teachers, observed classroom engagement and provided feedback.
The activity aimed to introduce and simulate the modules in a classroom setting across grade levels, gather feedback from faculty and learners to guide further refinement, and provide students with values-based learning experiences rooted in Catholic social teachings. The orientation also sought to help children and youth understand the spirituality of Pondo ng Pinoy, emphasizing the regular practice of giving to those in need and inspiring them to embrace a lifelong journey of generosity toward people living in poverty.
As a result, the sessions successfully simulated the modules across all grade levels, consolidated teacher feedback to improve content and delivery, and created a working model for wider adoption in other Catholic schools.
Through this initiative, Pondo ng Pinoy strengthened the integration of its spirituality into the educational experience of young learners, affirming its belief that small acts of love can truly transform lives.
