Pondo ng Pinoy 20th Anniversary Celebration | Diocese of Pasig
On August 25, 2024, the Diocese of Pasig celebrated the 20th Anniversary of Pondo ng Pinoy at Sta. Clara de Montefalco Parish Church, Pasig. The celebration began with a Holy Eucharist presided over by Most Rev. Mylo Hubert Vergara, D.D., Bishop of the Diocese of Pasig, and concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Edmond R. Reynaldo. This event would not have been possible without the efforts of Pondo ng Pinoy Lay Coordinator, Ms. Riverita โBethโ Soriano. In attendance from Pondo ng Pinoy National Management Office represented by Ms. Morena Cosare, Pondo ng Pinoy Executive Director; Mr. Bebot Sabangan, Promotion Officer; Ms. Elmira De Castro, Finance OIC; and Ms. Shey Alviz, HR/Admin Staff.
The event was attended by Pondo ng Pinoy donors as well as beneficiaries of Pondo ng Pinoy projects. Testimonies were shared, including one from a coordinator and a mother of a malnourished child who spoke about how the feeding program changed her childโs life. Other testimonies came from a livelihood beneficiary and a scholar. As part of the anniversary celebration, plaques of recognition were awarded to 12 active Catholic schools that have significantly contributed to the mission of Pondo ng Pinoy in helping communities and uplifting the lives of our Ka-Pondo.
The post-Mass session was attended by nearly 200 participants, both givers and receivers.
