The National Management Office of Pondo ng Pinoy Community Foundation Inc. (PnPCFI) will release its first ever online video presentation in preparation for Christmas. It will showcase the Pondo ng Pinoy spirituality through reflections and messages of 9 Bishops on specially selected topics or themes. To cap the series will be a Christmas message from His Eminence Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle. The video is a nine-day series focusing on the traditional religious practice of “Simbang Gabi” or Misa De Gallo. The main theme of the PNPCFI video is “Gifted to Give” in the light of the 500 Years’ celebration of Christianity in the Philippines. And the themes for the nine days Simbang Gabi follow the CBCP’s yearly themes for said celebration. Bishops who will participate in the first ever video series of Pondo ng Pinoy are as follows: Bishop Rey Evangelista, D.D. (Diocese of Imus) Bishop Broderick Pabillo, D.D. (Archdiocese of Manila) Bp. Marcelino Antonio M. Maralit, Jr., D.D. (Diocese of Boac) Bp. Rex C. Ramirez, D.D. (Diocese of Naval) Bp. Roberto O. Gaa, D.D. (Diocese of Novaliches) Bp. Bartolome G. Santos Jr., D.D. (Diocese of Iba) Bp. Mel Rey M. Uy, D.D. (Diocese of Lucena) Bp. Dennis C. Villarojo, D.D. (Diocese of Malolos) Bp. Honesto F. Ongtioco, D.D. (Diocese of Cubao) Parishes nationwide have been invited to show these video messages/reflections via live streaming during “Simbang Gabi” or share this through the Social Communications Ministry of the dioceses. Everyone is invited to watch and share this Pondo ng Pinoy online video so that it can reach as many people as possible. A timely preparation for Christmas through the new means of communication, the internet and social media. These video messages can be seen and downloaded through this Youtube link: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCQ_KdFBsSJLgehlclLeXb5g?view_as=subscriber . The vision of Pondo ng Pinoy as expounded by its founder, H. Em. Gaudencio B. Cardinal Rosales was fullness of life for all, especially the poor through love of God and neighbour. So it was then when Pondo ng Pinoy was launched in 2004 … so it still is 16 years after. Pondo ng Pinoy: Pag-ibig ng Panginoon … Pag-asa ng Pilipino … continues its journey to proclaim Christ as good news to the poor, encouraging the faithful to live the life of humble stewardship of whatever gifts the Lord has given as preferential love for the poor, through little but regular acts of goodness exemplified by the “crumbs” as little as 25 centavo coins.
