Pondo ng Pinoy Community Foundation (PnPCFI) conducted a clergy orientation in the Archdiocese of Ozamis, organized by PnPCFI Archdiocesan priest coordinator, Rev. Fr. Marvin Osmeña, the event took place on March 6, 2024, at the Bishop’s House in Catadman, Ozamis, Misamis Occidental.
The morning session of the event was dedicated to field activities, including a video shoot showcasing Pondo ng Pinoy donors in the diocese and the Pondo ng Pinoy assistance and efforts for fire victims and those affected by Typhoon Odette.
In the afternoon, 34 diocesan clergy members participated in sessions led by Rev. Fr. Noel Conopio, who presented the spirituality of Pondo ng Pinoy and how this spirituality can be integrated into their daily lives as priests, enriching their ministry in their respective parishes. It was an opportunity in fostering a deeper spiritual reflection among the clergy. Mr. Bebot Sabangan, the Pondo ng Pinoy Promotion Officer, presented and highlighted the Pondo ng Pinoy as a community foundation, its program and services aimed at uplifting the lives of the poor and marginalized.
Rev. Fr. Marvin Osmeña further emphasized that even if the archdiocese has not applied for a project from Pondo ng Pinoy for a while, it is crucial to grasp the mission of Pondo ng Pinoy – helping other member dioceses, assisting the poor communities beyond their jurisdiction, which is mirrored in the generosity of Pondo ng Pinoy crumbs contributors to the archdiocese.
The event concluded with a mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Noel Conopio.
