Organization, Governance and Administration

Since the establishment of the community foundation was the initiative of the bishops, dioceses will provide the basic framework of the organization of Pondo ng Pinoy.  The spirit of communion and solidarity should be reflected in the organizational structure of Pondo ng Pinoy.  Pondo ng Pinoy has a National Management Office with the dioceses and parishes as local implementing arms.

While Pondo ng Pinoy uses diocesan and parish offices, the same is an entity distinct from the latter.  The diocese or parish cannot unilaterally modify existing policies of the Foundation.  Conversely, Pondo ng Pinoy will not intend to supplant, but support and enhance diocesan and parochial pastoral initiatives and programs particularly those directed towards the promotion of the well-being of the poor.

The foundation is governed by a Board of Trustees composed of eight bishops, three priests and religious, and four lay persons.  The Archbishop of Manila sits as Chairman of the foundation.

The Board is assisted by different Committees functioning as specialized and advisory bodies, namely; Programs Committee, Finance Committee and Audit Committee.  The Programs Committee is further organized to three subcommittees e.g. Education, Promotion, and Projects Screening.  The National Management Office (NMO) is the executive office of PnPCFI.  It is headed by the Executive Director and supported by a core staff.

The Bishop acts as Local Chairman of Pondo ng Pinoy.  He appoints a priest coordinator and lay counterpart who shall manage the Pondo ng Pinoy Desk of the diocese.  Similarly, the Parish Priest acts as head of Pondo ng Pinoy Desk in the parish and is supported by lay volunteers who manage the different program components of Pondo ng Pinoy.
