From the time it was launched, Pondo ng Pinoy has effectively served as the Catholic Church’s active partner and vehicle of new evangelization. Catechetical sessions whose main objective is faith education and deepening of gospel values were held in the parishes and schools. Project beneficiaries and partners were likewise targeted as audience of formation sessions.
From June 2004 until June 2015, Pondo ng Pinoy has gathered a total of ₱350,783,990 donations. The amount supported over 1,500 projects that have helped feed and improve the nutritional status of thousands of children; provided educational opportunities to underprivileged children, youth and adults; created healthy living conditions in depressed communities; provided poor families with livelihood skills and income-generating opportunities; helped displaced families have decent homes; and empowered people and gave them a chance to have a life of dignity and hope.
